District Vision and Technology Plan


In order to enhance the mission of the Enfield Public Schools, the Education Technology department proudly supports these outcomes and priorities for integrating technology in our schools based on the following goals and objectives:

  1. Enhancing Learning Outcomes:
    • Goal: Improve academic achievement and learning outcomes through effective use of technology.
    • Objective: Increase student engagement and motivation by integrating technology tools and resources into instruction.
  2. Digital Literacy and Skills Development:
    • Goal: Develop digital literacy and technology skills among students, teachers, and staff.
    • Objective: Provide professional development opportunities to teachers and staff to enhance their technological proficiency and instructional practices.
  3. Access and Equity (our 1:1 iPad Program):
    • Goal: Ensure equitable access to technology resources and bridge the digital divide.
    • Objective: Increase access to technology devices, internet connectivity, and digital resources for all students, regardless of their socio-economic background.
  4. Personalized Learning:
    • Goal: Support personalized and differentiated instruction using technology.
    • Objective: Implement learning management systems and adaptive software to customize learning experiences based on students' needs, interests, and abilities.
  5. Collaboration and Communication ( Apple Classroom and Mosyle Device Management) :
    • Goal: Foster collaboration and communication among students, teachers, and parents through technology.
    • Objective: Utilize online collaboration tools and platforms to enable students and teachers to work together, share resources, and communicate effectively.
  6. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Goal: Use technology to collect, analyze, and utilize data for informed decision making.
    • Objective: Implement data management systems to track student progress, identify areas of improvement, and inform instructional strategies.
  7. Digital Citizenship and Online Safety:
    • Goal: Promote responsible and ethical use of technology and ensure online safety.
    • Objective: Integrate digital citizenship curriculum and provide training on internet safety, privacy, and online behavior for students and educators.
  8. Infrastructure and Technical Support:
    • Goal: Maintain reliable and up-to-date technology infrastructure and provide technical support.
    • Objective: Upgrade network infrastructure, hardware, and software systems regularly and establish a help desk or support system to address technical issues promptly.
  9. Parent and Community Engagement:
    • Goal: Engage parents and the broader community in supporting technology integration.
    • Objective: Organize workshops, information sessions, and events to educate parents about technology initiatives and involve the community in supporting technology-related activities.
  10. Continuous Improvement:
    • Goal: Continuously evaluate and refine technology integration efforts.
    • Objective: Establish a feedback loop with stakeholders, conduct regular assessments, and utilize data to improve technology integration strategies and programs.

These goals and objectives serve as a roadmap for our schools to guide our technology planning and ensure the effective and purposeful integration of technology into teaching and learning processes.
